About Crash & Burn (Cut & Run #9):

It’s been five years since Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett first worked together to solve the Tri-State murders, and time has been both harsh and kind. Engaged now, they face the challenge of planning a deeply uncertain future together. Zane is at the pinnacle of his career with one last mystery to solve, while Ty is at sea in a world where he’s no longer the tip of a spear.

There’s just one more hurdle in the way of their happy ever after: a traitor from their inner circle who threatens to burn their world to the ground.

Squeezed between the Vega cartel, an unknown mole, and too many alphabet agencies to count, Ty and Zane must gather all their strength and resources to beat the longest odds they’ve ever faced. To make it out alive, they’ll need help from every friend they’ve got. Even the friends who might betray their trust.

  1. Is it the end? I hope Ty and Zane will at least make cameo appearances in the Sidewinder series. Like holiday codas? It only seems fair with how much Nick/Kelly stuff that was contained in the later Cut & Run books. Looking forward to your thoughts and review. 🙂

  6. I still can’t believe this is the end of Ty & Zane’s journey, but I’m holding out hope at being able to see them in future Sidewinder books. And of course, there’s always re-reads! 🙂

  7. Thank you Abi for how the boys have grown into themselves and as a couple. For showing us who they were through their interactions with others in their books. I’ll miss them but this was the perfect ending for them.

  10. This series is my comfort read. I re-read it all the time. I think this last book was a really good way to wrap things up. And the extra scene at the end? LOVED.

    1. Definitely a comfort read – also a go to book series when I can’t sleep, am on a plane or not feeling well. It just never fails to make me go mushy and happy inside (T&G notwithstanding!).

  12. Yeeeah, I’m re-reading. Such an outstandingly amazing series, so glad I came across it. Everything else I read has a lot to live up to, so I’m re-reading because I’m not sure I can find anything else that compares (and right now I don’t want to, just leave me alone with Ty ans Zane and some cookies, thanks).

  18. I’ve decided the only cure for the feelings this book caused is to reread the whole series again. At least until Sidewinder 3 is released!

  20. I still can’t get over the fact that it’s over. I’m not coping well even though it had a good ending and my boys are happy and together, it still hurts that their story is over (well at least the one’s we would read all together, the rest will play out in our heads and hearts) i will miss Ty & Zane, and the light they gave me…(sorry I’m crying) they really were apart of my life, a big part. i love and care for those boys and i will never stop.

Here’s to hoping for cameo appearances in the Sidewinder series. and the future laugh’s, tears, excitement and pain, Nick & Kelly may bring.

    THANK YOU MISS ABI.

  27. Noooo! It’s the final day of the tour!! I guarantee by June I’ll be starting a summertime reread of the entire series. Love this series, love all the main and secondary characters. Looking forward to Part & Parcel. Good luck to Abi on her future writings. I’ll be on the look out for them. Big love to ALL the minions! The fun will continue.

  29. Ty and Zane, Meow Mix and Lone Star, Doll and Beautiful, rude, insufferable, egotistical, stinking son of a bitch and pansy ass. However you think of them, these two men grabbed us by the throat in a dark alley and beat the shit out of us which started us on a long roller coaster journey to secrets, love and burning it all down only to rise from the ashes. I, for one, am thrilled to have been a part of this wonderfully frustrating punny story and I am thrilled with their outcome.

  31. I want about a dozen more books in this series… not just Ty/Zane (okay, but LOTS of Ty/Zane), but also the rest of Sidewinder! Abi built such a great universe with characters who I fell in love with, and I’m sad to have to say goodbye. Thanks for doing this virtual blog tour, it’s been a nice way to close out the series and get to see other people’s thoughts on the last book!
