  1. you are a naturalist! How cool is that! I just went to a raptor demo at the Columbia River Gorge Discovery Center. I lost the staring contest with the Great Horned owl and the red-tail hawk. Very happy holidays to you and your darlings!

    1. Raptors were my specialty and I was privileged to work with a wide range from Bald Eagles to a turkey vulture named Precious for over 25 years. They are wonderfully amazing. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

New Psychological Thriller Explores Relationships Between Main Characters

    Terror at Mirror Lake

If you think Hannibal Lecter was evil, wait until you meet Luke Downing, a killer so evil he makes Lecter look like an altar boy.

Terror lurks in the shadows of Mirror Lake, where secrets of sex, lies, and death are all patiently waiting to surface from its murky depths. The small town of Hamptonville seems the last place you would find sadistic sex, drugs, blackmail, and murder. But that’s exactly what Bruce Orum, his girlfriend Cindy Garvey, and two married couples encounter when they meet Luke Downing, a psychopath who takes pleasure by inflicting pain on his victims. At Mirror Lake Downing takes the two married couples prisoner and plans to torture and humiliate them before killing them. But he does not know that Sheriff Jeff Parker and his partner Molly Hutchison are on his trail and determined to stop him. From page one all the way to the breathtaking ending, you will find yourself on pins and needles waiting to see what happens next.

Terror at Mirror Lake is more than just another psychological thriller. In its pages the author describes the causes of Luke Downing’s evil nature, his relationships with others, and the relationships between the two married couples he plans to torment and kill.

  3. Melanie, so wonderful to read about you, your terriers, and other creatures! I am living now on Cape Cod, a wonderful place of nature. Here we follow the ospreys. Mirta lives in Germany and has 2 beautiful daughters, working as a marine biologist.

  4. Hi, my name is Alan.

I just published my first e-book that is available on Amazon.com, and is the first book of a trilogy that is an espionage/military thriller set in New York City. It’s what happens when the beauty industry meets the war on terror. Please let me know if you would be interested in reviewing it. Below is a synopsis:

“Da Vinci, Oppenheimer, Kalashnikov: Men throughout history who’ve brought weapons of mass destruction into our world. But now they all take a backseat to a Devil in Tory Burch flats. A CIA operative, given a shot at redemption, must walk a fine line between his own quest to find the truth and the safety of his mark that could compromise the mission’s objective.”

    Thanks!

    1. Thanks, Jackie. Finding time can be a constant struggle. We love our reviewers here but we have more books requests than we have reviewers to review them all. Let me know if you’d like to struggle some more, laughing. And add your voice to ours when you have the time!
