RATING 4 out of 5 stars
Nevan lives a simple life. He works hard in the fields with his brothers and his grandpa, and adores his mother wholeheartedly. He’s a good boy who usually stays out of trouble, but even when Grandpa warns him to stay away from the pond, he can’t help feeling curious about it…and the creatures that watch him whenever he’s near.
I thought about what to write in this review since I finished the short last week and honestly I still have no clue how to express my feelings. The Fairy Pond is very short, just 29 pages, I read it in a heartbeat and quickly fell into the story. I was literally sucked by the amazing writing and atmosphere I breathed. I was a little scared too and nervous about the development of the little plot and just when at the ending I was hoping things were finally settled, the author threw me off balance again and left me speechless. Needless to say I want to be sad for Nevan and his family.
Although this is in no way a LGBT title, I feel to recommend it, it’s short sure but packed with so many emotions, it was a lovely surprise.

The cover art by Ally Quinn doesn’t enthuse me, it fits the story but it’s too boring and not to my liking.
