As author Hailey Turner says, this is an absolute treasure of a gift to her fans, those who love and have followed the long journey Patrick Collins and Jonothon de Vere from their original book and meeting to this their final chapter where they get married, their happy epilogue.
Many of the favorites are also in attendance and we get a quick drama before the ending.
Itās been incredible and for me itās a series Iāll be rereading.
Patrick Collins earned the peace heās found in New York City with his pack through sacrifice. Six years out from the end of the world, heās satisfied with the life heās built and doesnāt think about what else the future might hold until he stumbles his way into a hostage situation he didnāt ask to be part of.
Jonothon de Vere would like nothing more than to wake up each morning with the love of his life and never deal with trouble again. Except Patrick has always been a magnet for such crises, and Jono isnāt one to stand idly by when his lover could use some help.
It feels just like old times when thatās the last thing they want, but maybe itās also the reminder they need that the future isnāt set in stone. Maybe, just maybe, Patrick and Jono are finally ready to take the next step and walk down the aisle together.
Born to be Legends is what fans of Hailey Turnerās best-selling Soulbound series have been waiting for.
Monochrome is the finale story of Vinni Georgeās ORCA series about a group of orca whale shifters , the agency they form (ORCA ) to find and return stolen artifacts and artwork and the fated mates the find at each case and investigation.
I really enjoyed this as it tied up the overall series mystery of the missing artwork, brought out the revelations behind several deaths, the last brother, Julius found a mate and a family, and the grandmother finally comes home.
Julius Hunter is the last brother to find his fated mate. When he does, itās his client, a panda shifter, Ethan Lin , who has guardianship of his young niece and nephew.
Itās a great romance, the children who become part of the growing Hunter family, are absolutely adorable, and Ethan as an overwhelmed, stressed and anxious man is a relatable character.
All the brothers and mates, as well as cousins and mates are here working together on the investigations and mysteries. Itās a fantastic story, pulling together every aspect of all the books and characters to create an absolutely amazing and satisfying finale.
Loved this and itās one Iām definitely recommending.
I wish the covers were story or character oriented in some form. They honestly could be applied to any other genre or book.
After a career on Wall Street, Julius Hunter is content to live his life as a modern Robin Hood. Getting corrupt corporations to invest with him while he siphons their money into charitable organizations makes his blood pump, so when heās sent in to find out what the new CEO of a global company knows about money being used to fund the search for a priceless piece of artwork connected to his family, heās all in.
Ethan Lin never wanted to be CEO of the company his great-great-grandfather founded. He also never wanted to be a parent, but when his sister died in a car accident, he inherited her title and her two adorable children. Balancing life as the head of a corporation and as a new dad is a challenge, and with diminishing returns at home and in the boardroom something has to give.
When Julius shows up, offering help in both areas of Ethanās life, they learn they have more in common than they think. Including a shared enemy. Whoever is targeting the Hunter family also has their sights set on Ethan, and Julius will stop at nothing to make sure the man heās falling for and his children stay safe as the final pieces fall into place.
Monochrome is the final book in the Organization for the Return of Criminals and Assets (ORCA) series, featuring an orca shifter financier who had no idea he liked kids, a panda shifter hellbent on making sure his familyās legacy doesnāt end with him, and a final showdown that changes everything.
How to Tame a Hellhound (Hellhounds of Paradise Falls #3) by Shannon Mae continues this fated mates series with the next couple, two damaged people, Atlas the Hellhound whoās mostly feral, and Aiden, the human being who is still recovering from his ordeal from his time as a prisoner and kidnap victim.
Shannon Mae, an author whoās written many of the series I have reviewed and highly recommended, writes here about some very disturbing and very sensitive topics with genuine compassion and respect. She does it well and I think within a therapeutic framework. FYI for those readers who should look at TW going forward.
Fluffy and Aidenās growing relationship started in the previous books, with Aiden going on walks in the woods and dog-like Atlas as his companion, Fluffy. Aiden not yet understanding who or what Fluffy really is, a mostly feral Atlas whoās found his mate in the wounded Aiden.
Mae has always done a good job in presenting the Hellhounds, or a section of them, as truly otherworldly beings lacking the necessary social knowledge or understanding that allows humans to interact with others and interpret their behavior.
So the scenes and dialogue between the Hellhounds and their mates or SOās are humorous but serve a better purpose to underscore their own Otherworldly ignorance. It works here really well.
Aiden and Atlasās personal experiences with trauma and pain help them to find their own way through to a deeper relationship. It makes sense to us as readers.
The author has multiple storylines included here, ones that are still playing out for the next book.
Itās a highly emotional, suspense filled and satisfying story.
I was so happy for Atlas and Aiden to get their HEA.
Paradise Falls is Shannon Maeās favorite location to play in. Canāt wait to see what happens next here.
A definite recommendation!

Demonic Disasters and Afterlife Adventures (8 book series)
Apparently, the trauma from being kidnapped doesnāt end when youāre rescued, although Iām doing better. I have a roommate who has become family, and weāve been adopted by a pack of otherworldly creatures who protect us. Iām still a little jumpy, and most people make me uncomfortable, but baking, therapy, and my daily walks are all helping. The sweet guard dog who follows me around in the woods helps, too. I can tell him anything I wantāeven how scared I am of my own family. Iām afraid to bring trouble to my new familyās doorstep, but I canāt end up caged again.
Atlas (aka Fluffy)
I have never belonged. I never knew my parents, and I grew up with a pack of wolves. (Yes, I was literally raised by wolves. Believe me, I see the humor in that too.) Wilder found me and adopted me, and I have a pack and a good life. People still make me uncomfortable, though, unless Iām torturing and killing them (only hellbound peopleāIām not just some random serial killer). I just like solitude. But thereās something about Aiden that calls to my hellhound, and I canāt help wanting to protect the sweet human. Iāll even put up with being nicknamed Fluffy so long as I get to stay close to him. When I find out heās in danger, I know I canāt sit back any longer. The only problem? How will my traumatized human react to finding out Iām not just a guard dog?
Tags: Both characters have tragic backstories and need lots of comfort; Aiden loves cuddles and Fluffy is totally cuddle material; Atlas kind of likes being called Fluffy by his human, but heāll maim anyone else who tries it; thereās torture and death (but only of really bad people); hellhounds have tails, and they know how to use them.
Normally Iām not one for the āvirgin tropeā storyline but Burns and Fawkes are two of my favorite authors and in their hands, it turns into Witchwolf, a delightful urban fantasy romance about a young man who in looking for a hot night out before a new job finds far more than he ever imagined.
Dakota Morris is the young man, recently graduated from college, and ready for his dream job and adventure. But before then? He wants that hot date and experience heās denied himself by concentrating on his college and studies.
Burns and Fawkes have created a wonderful exuberant character in Dakota and then given him the absolutely best possible place to explore his new life and possibilities for his future.
Of course he doesnāt expect his future to come with werewolves, mages and a ton of magic.
The corporate world and culture the authors are laying down will be expanding with the next book , a chapter of which is included at the end of Witchwolf.
But we get the outline of how the company works and its origins. Pack owned and operated but not exclusively employed by just werewolves. This is a rich universe Burns and Fawkes are building and Iām hopeful that we get more than just two books here.
Dakotaās story has mysteries and some drama associated with it. I wish we could have had more details about his background but understand why that wasnāt given. Thereās so much more here that cries out for greater detail and exploration, into the mage history and paranormal being rivalries.
Iām hoping that future stories dive into this element.
The romance between Dakota and Alpha Ajax is hot, fun, and the dynamic between them makes us absolutely love this couple. Want to throttle Ajax occasionally because of his lack of communication skills but still Dakota makes up for it.
Love the ending and energy going forward. But having the entire first chapter of Book 2 (great chapter too) and not the book? Argh.
I will be watching out for that book next.
A definite winner for lovers of urban fantasy and these authors.
Witchwolf series:
Witchwolf #1
Word, Nerds, & Werecats #2 – coming early 2026 – chapter 1 included in the first book. ā¤ļø
Dakota Morris has decided itās time he lost that pesky virginity.
Heās a college graduate, and heās tired of being a virgin. So he goes out to a club his friends donāt frequent, and picks up the hottest man heās ever seen. Itās truly a night to remember . . . until he walks into the boardroom for his new job the next morning and wishes he could forget it, because his hot pick-up is also his new boss and CEO, Ajax Fyse.
The fact that he unknowingly slept with his newest employee is the least of Jaxās problems right now. Not only is he trying to navigate a merger with a mage family who disdains werewolves as beasts, it turns out the mage he took home last night didnāt even believe magic existed till this morning.
This morning, when his magic abilities manifested.
Now, Dakotaās stapler is flying across the room, and Jax has landed himself in the position of ushering his gorgeous new hire into the realm of magic. If only sleeping with a werewolf wouldnāt ruin Dakotaās reputation among other mages . . .
Welp, itās finally here! The end of the road and the insane finale for our beloved triad of paranormal lovers, Adam, Fancy Fangs aka Victor , and the ever fabulous Zee!
This story has everything! Road trips gone wrong, supernatural mobsters, Miami because, you know, Florida, sex, music, crazed family stuff, Florida, frogs, drama, dragons, frogs!
Florida.
And of course, finally, very importantly, a happy ending for our beloved otherworldly throuple.
Itās a veritable kitchen sink of storylines, events, weirdly funny characters and makes for a celebration of a send off.
Love it and them! Been a great ride!

SOS HOTEL: Ho, Ho, No by Adam Vex, Ariana Nashā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
Being on the road has been fun an’ all (no, it hasn’t). Van life is awesome (it sucks, there’s no room for my fabulousness). But all good things must end, according to Fancy Fangs. He’s wrong. Good things should last forever.
Just so long as me, Victor and Adam don’t end, right?
So after we solved a burly werewolf murder, got ourselves mixed up with an evil luxury hotel, we’re now in Florida! Sun, sea, and… the troll mafia, a trap we walked right into, and did I mention… THERE’S F*CKING FROGS HERE?!
We all gonna die.
SOS HOTEL 10: End of the Road, is the end of the road for our hotel threesome. If you’ve read all nine previous books, you’d be silly not to read this one, the last ever one – for real this time. Our terrible trio are more powerful than ever, but so is Adam’s wicked brother. The epic showdown is here.
A cliffhanger ending from the last book delivers , via Shelby Rhodes incredible story, several heartbreaking moments, a great comeuppance for a villain, and , wait, another heart stopping cliffhanger.
What a hair raising, pulse pumping, white knuckle ride this book is. Itās everything weāve come to expect from this series and author and then piled on with a mountain of narrative cherries. Fabulous!
Rhodesā has the story five further into the dynamic between Harlow and Foxx, what the ongoing trauma of events is doing to them each and separately. Itās a needed exploration, with these characters, and their dark histories and damaging stories.
The other characters, the ones weāve come to love too are focused on here, in ways that will have lasting impact on everyone. And Gavin? Love Gavin. I really needed him here. IYKYK.
And as if there arenāt already enough words of caution, Iāll add mine. This is probably the most bloody, violent and potentially disturbing book of the bunch. Just Fyi. Read the warning but these novels have to be read in the order they are written. And honestly, itās Shelby Rhodes.
Highly recommended for sheer excitement, sheer excellence, and utter mayhem and madness. Iām a fan.
Foxx Honeywell here and holding on. You all know where we left off. I suppose I always knew that life often has momentsāpainful momentsāthat have you questioning every choice you’ve made that led up to it. Questioning if you had done something a little different, moved just a bit faster, delayed a little less, would the outcome have changed. Iām here to tell you, those questions are bloody pointless! The only question that matters is: how are you going to make it right?!
Well, you know me, Iām sure as hell not going to forget or forgive, and Harlow would laugh at even the suggestion. So, with every fiber of my being, I say, bring on the bloodshed!
Author Note: False Morality is the fifth book in the MM paranormal romance series, The Unwilling Adventures of Harlow & Foxx, a series that is meant to be read in order. Please see inside or my website for content warnings.
What totally wonderful and sweet romantic paranormal fluff.
Silvana Falcon has written a delightful novel about a demon who is absolutely not demonic at all, whose deeds end up being good, very good indeed instead of evil.
Mal has one more chance to redeem himself in Hell when the shy Ethan mistakenly summons Mal instead of Cupid, wanting to get help winning over his office crush.
I adore every element in this book. From the well written characters, the dialogue, and funny to sweet scenarios, and the way that Mal helps Ethan realize what a wonderful treasure he really is.
The drama, low angst, contains a very nice twist that carries over to the next story and odd character, a āwimpyā vampire and the vampire hunter who finds him too cute to resist.
Honestly, I donāt think I can resist this story either because Iām on my way to read it as soon as itās released.
Love quirky characters, sweet adorable romances?
Delightfully cute artwork and perfect for the story.
Hell’s most incompetent demon meets Earth’s most hopeless romantic.
All Ethan wanted was someone who could help him find loveāor at least someone to pop his cherry. A spell from an odd book he found at the library promised him a wish from Cupid. Sure, some of the ingredients weren’t easy to get, but he could improvise. Was there really that much difference between dried laurel leaves and coriander?
He never meant to summon a demon.
Malphas hasn’t been to Earth in a hundred years, not since he accidentally created a massively successful support group for gamblers and saved hundreds of souls from damnation. As punishment, he’s stuck in Hell’s archives filing dusty prophecies because his boss is convinced he’s incapable of being properly evil.
When Ethan’s summoning yanks him topside, he sees his chance to prove himself. He’ll make a deal with the humanāand collect that blindingly bright soul.
All he has to do is to help Ethan get together with his crush.
What could possibly go wrong?
Low angst, high comedy m/m romance. HEA guaranteed, no break-ups, no cheating.
Demon (Mystic Guardians Book 3) by Rinda Elliott is a series that started out strong but has wobbled narratively with each following story.
Details and drama surrounding this couple isnāt clearly defined or well established. And unfortunately the ending is very unsatisfactory.
Which is sad because Demon has the potential to be a good paranormal romance and this couple is extremely engaging.
This series and novel is a fated mates, instant love romance/relationship between a human being who can see preternatural beings and the other beings whoāre their fated mate.
Lonnie Russell, a professor of writing, has a scary stalker so his sister, a successful author, has hired the otherworldly agency to supply a bodyguard for him. That bodyguard happens to be the demon, Demon Callan Ambrose, whoās desperate for a mate.
Cute aspects to the story and relationship? Lonnie collects anime figurines, including demons, from his favorite shows and comics. And introduces Callan to anime, a great element which was underutilized.
They were sweet and really had the potential for a better romance here. The author gave Lonnieās character some serious issues that instead of being addressed were lightly touched on. He has ADHD admittedly, body image issues (although Callan finds him sexy), and a writerās block that has been around for a while. Then a stalker who has been watching him 24/7 that he didnāt take seriously at first so more than just body image issues. None of this is actually well defined or explored in the storyline or the relationship.
If as a author you donāt have that much page time to authentically talk about the serious elements that you have used to help create a character, then perhaps it better not to use them in this book at all. Save it for a longer novel and different character.
The same lack of development goes for the dramatic element of the story. It comes out of nowhere. No foundation for it.
Spoiler.
But as the villain is, even excluding the main aspect of his character, highly obsessive and delusional, to end this with him able to recover , remaining just as cemented in his delusion, and ready to go forward makes zero sense.
The excuses the head of the agency makes are just as bad. It throws the reader out of any plausible connection thatās remaining to the story and this scenario.
I doubt Iām going forward with any further books in the series.
Too bad because thereās some good things here but nothing is carried through to the any of its full potential.
Demon Callan Ambrose wants a soulmate more than anything but is sure heāll never find his. One of his brothers is mated and soulmates are rare, so the odds are against him. Then he takes a job protecting Lonnie Russell, a creative writing professor who is quirky, and sweet, and justā¦perfect. But someone is terrorizing Lonnie with threatening notes.
Lonnie has always been able to see the preternaturals in the world and heās always been fascinated with them. Especially demons. He even has an entire room dedicated to them. So heās thrilled when his new bodyguard turns out to be one. Callan is big and gruff, his grumpy exterior a mask for someone whoās really a cuddle monster. And the gifts? He sure would like to know what thatās all about.
What started out as vague threats quickly escalates and when they realize what theyāre up against, Callan is determined to keep his newfound treasure safe.
Demon is a long MM paranormal romance novella with a grumpy/sunshine pairing, traditional demon courting, and plenty of steam. Itās the third in the Mystic Guardians series, but can be read as a standalone
Tavia Lark is an author I enjoy reading, so I immediately grabbed up this paranormal romance. Itās got vampires in trouble, lone wolf werewolves in need of mates and stability, and an old fashioned murder mystery that plays out along with the romance.
The 400 ish year old vampire,Simon, is an engaging character with a new magical ability that would be fun if better explored. And werewolf bodyguard, Cody, quickly became my favorite character of the story.
A few lines fed the reader his background, and the reasoning behind his instability as a werewolf also had a brevity of explanation in this narrative. The majority of the story was turned over to the mystery of the threats to Simon, the perpetrators behind the attacks, and the growing relationship between Simon and Cody.
For me , their dynamic and personal relationship made the story. They had chemistry as a couple. And Lark gave them each personal stakes to make a relationship problematic enough going forward for them if they wanted it too.
The world building was non existent. Had no real idea of what the other storylines meant or referenced, which removed any impact that they could have had on the plot.
If this book fits within a known universe, itās not set down here.
So the best part of this is the main couple and their relationship. Itās a chosen mates, forced proximity vampire/werewolf relationship and an enjoyable one.
I recommend it for everyone who likes the author and this trope.
Adapted from a novella originally published as The Vampireās Werewolf Bodyguard by Liv Rider.
Simon doesnāt want protection. Especially not from a werewolf.
Too bad the reclusive vampire doesnāt have a choice. Simon barely survived an assassinās strike, and he isnāt safe yet. The attack left him weak and vulnerable, which is why his meddling sire hires him a bodyguard.
A big, burly werewolf bodyguard.
Codyās instincts make him a formidable guardāif he can control his wolf. Living without a pack or mate makes him unstable. Dangerous. After accidentally shifting on his previous assignment, he has one chance to prove himself:
Protecting a bratty vampire who does not want his protection.
Keeping things professional is Codyās only hope. Simon may have four centuriesā worth of defensive habits, but Cody can handle difficult clients. Except as Cody digs up the hurt behind Simonās prickly exterior, and Simon starts to enjoy being cared forā¦
Staying professional might be impossible. Just like controlling Codyās wolf.
The Vampireās Werewolf Bodyguard is an MM paranormal romance with forced proximity, chosen mates, and bickering to lovers.
Icy Reception is another grand slam adventure in the epic fantasy series of the SOS HOTEL characters and their journey through life, horrifying scenarios, looking for their HEA or whatever suits them.
Thereās so much to quote, hilarious scenes and fabulous moments here. LARPing in the extreme, which is saying something.
Iāll never think about conciergeās and desk bells āding, ding, ding ding, dingā without a certain delightfully chaotic demon in mind. Heās needs one, yes, he does.
I find this hilarious, absolutely entertaining and need the finale in the worst bestest possible way.
Love this world and characters.

What happens when you throw a whole bunch of Lost Ones in a posh hotel, sprinkle in some grown humans who like to play dress-up, add a twist of sinister vibes, a quirky treasure hunt, a spooky riddle, and some yummy sandwiches?
Wait. You donāt know? F*ck, me neither. I guess weāre gonna find out.
Some folks will probably get unalivedānot our fault. Adam will want to help, because heās nice like that. And Fancy Fangs is gonna sleep through itāor get his fine ass kidnapped. Because heās ancient and mostly useless.
Anyway, if folks are dying, why we gotta be heroes? Itās not like weāre famous for saving people. Oh wait⦠f*ck. Then thereās the whole magic snowstorm that rolls in, and now weāre stuck with Mr. Creepy Concierge, cameras in inappropriate places, and have I mentioned the axe murderer?
Just another day on the road⦠But so weāre all clear, weāre definitely not on the run.
SOS HOTEL: Icy Reception is the second book in a three part mini-series that takes place AFTER the main eight books in the SOS HOTEL series. If you haven’t read the main books, don’t start here. If you have read all previous books, then buckle up, babycakes. Sh*t’s about to get real.
